Carlsbad Flower Fields 2026: Opening Date, Ticket Prices, Hours & What’s New
The Carlsbad Flower Fields are back for the 2026 season, bringing one of Southern California’s most colorful spring traditions back to the coast. This year, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are open from March 1 through May 10, 2026, with 55 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus in bloom. The fields are typically most colorful in April, so that is often the best time to visit.
What’s New at the Carlsbad Flower Fields in 2026
One of the standout attractions this season is Glass in Flight, a striking outdoor exhibit featuring colorful glass and steel sculptures inspired by butterflies, dragonflies, bees, and other pollinators. It adds an extra layer of beauty to the flower fields and makes the experience even more memorable for families and photographers.
The popular Butterfly Encounter is also part of the 2026 experience. Guests can walk into an enclosed space filled with butterflies and enjoy a close-up, interactive moment surrounded by fluttering wings.
Beyond the blooms, the 2026 activity calendar includes wellness classes, sunset wine tastings, flower workshops, live music, and more seasonal experiences throughout the run of the event.
